MISSION
The mission of the Ocean Shores Library Foundation is to promote and enhance the library’s value to the community and to inspire civic support.

WHAT WE DO
The Ocean Shores Library Foundation works within the Ocean Shores Service area to continually improve, promote and support the Ocean Shores Public Library. Your gifts take the library beyond city funding to a new level of excellence.

WHAT WE FUND
Capital Projects: Extensive expansion of the existing facility increases building capacity for larger collections. New interior furnishings and expanded seating enhance the user experience.
Children’s Reading Resources: Kid-friendly furnishings create a welcoming, comfortable area for children to explore the world of books.
ADA Compliant Library Upgrades: ADA features in the parking area, doors, and restrooms make the library accessible to all.
Technology Improvements: New electrical infrastructure supports computer workstations and ergonomic computer tables for patrons.

WHO WE ARE
The Ocean Shores Library Foundation, established in 2019, exists solely for the betterment and continuity of the Ocean Shores Public Library. Funds raised by the Foundation are used to meet the needs of all ages beyond the scope of the library’s operating budget, including capital improvements, new technologies, programs and services.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
On behalf of the Ocean Shores Public Library, the Foundation welcomes gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, organizations, and estates.
Print out the donation form and either mail with your donation or bring it to the library. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Ocean Shores Library Foundation Annual Giving Letter
Whether or not we write our memoirs, in the end we are all remembered for our acts – for the lives we touch and by the causes we advance. In that light, we invite you to consider creating a lasting legacy by including the Ocean Shores Library Foundation (OSLF) in both your long-term plans and in your annual giving.
The OSL Foundation helps fill the gap between what city funding provides and the resources patrons expect. The library receives public support, but private donations strengthen the library’s capacity to innovate and adapt to change. Donor’s collective investments make projects and training possible that benefit everyone and enhance the services the library is able to offer.
For over 50 years, the Ocean Shores Library has been offering services that enrich, inform and strengthen every corner of the community.
From the Foundation’s inception in 2019, gifts have helped expand the library meeting room, provided funding for renovations and upgrades to library facilities and landscaping, and contributed to the creation of the Anneka van Doorninck Outdoor Pavilion. If you’re able, please make a donation to the Ocean Shores Library Foundation so that OSLF may continue helping the library expand to meet growing community needs.
