Programs for Teens
Check the online calendar of events or stop in at the library front desk for more information about programs and events. Attendance at any of the library events indicates permission for the Ocean Shores Public Library to use photographs or videos taken of you or your children for the purpose of promoting the library and its services. Programs for all ages are generously sponsored by the Friends of the Ocean Shores Public Library.
 D&D Game Night
Fridays from 4:30 - 7:30 PM. March 20th, 27th, April 3rd & 10th.
Want to play Dungeons and Dragons but don't have group of people to play with? The library has all the materials you'll need to play, all you need to bring is a desire to adventure! This program is open to everyone ages 10 and older. No prior experience with D&D is required, players of all experience levels are welcome!
 Friends of the Library (FOL) Big Book Sale
Saturday, March 21st, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Members Only), 12:00 - 4:00 PM (Public Sale)
Sunday, March 22nd, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Public Sale)
Sunday from 1:00 - 3:00 PM there will be a $5 bag sale!
Book sales are held in the Library Meeting Room. Books of all genres will be available for purchase. Great deals on books, DVDS, audio books, games etc. Proceeds support library programs for all ages.
Donations are welcome!
There is also an ongoing, honor system book sale during all library open hours in the library meeting room.
 Teen Zone
Monday, March 23rd, 3:00 - 5:00 PM
The library is a Teen Only Zone, open to 7-12 grade students only. There will be video games on the giant projector screen, snacks to enjoy, and karaoke.
This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
 Teen Spring Event: Back To The 80s!
Saturday, March 28th, 6:00 - 8:00 PM
Wear your best 1980s costume and enter the costume contest. Watch the 1985 classic "Back to the Future" on the big projector screen. There will be a pizza dinner provided, party favors, karaoke and FUN! All 7-12 grade students are invited.
 Introduction to Square Dancing
Monday, April 6th, 7:00 - 9:00 PM
First Monday of every month.
Join us for a fun and friendly introduction to square dancing - no experience (or partner) needed! Featuring live instruction with a licensed caller who’ll have you dancing in under 30 minutes. Open to adults and teens!
 Teen Planning Committee (TPC)
Monday, April 13th, 3:00 - 4:00 PM
Young adults in grades 7-12 are invited to attend the first meeting of the school year.
This Committee comes up with ideas for fun teen events to have at the library. They also recommend books and movies to be purchased.

 Collection Highlights : Graphic Novels
What used to be called Comic Books have graduated into Graphic Novels and the library has an extensive collection in the Young Adult Area.
A large portion of these are ‘Manga’ a very popular graphic novel style from Japan that you read backwards! There is action, romance, and fantasy. Check it out!
