Book Group

The book being discussed in May is a non-fiction selection, "Nala’s World" by Dean Nicholson.
June's book will be a novel, "The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox" by Maggie O'Farrell.
Book Group meets on the 3rd Monday of the month in the Library Meeting Room. The Friends of the Library support the Book Group financially, and purchase 10 copies of each title that check out for 2 weeks. Books are kept in the work room, so ask the staff at the circulation desk for a copy.

Computer Class: Email Essentials

D&D Game Night

Want to play Dungeons and Dragons but don't have group of people to play with? The library has all the materials you'll need to play, all you need to bring is a desire to adventure! This program is open to everyone ages 10 and older. No prior experience with D&D is required, players of all experience levels are welcome!

Sunday, May 24th, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Public Sale)
Sunday from 1:00 - 3:00 PM there will be a $5 bag sale!
Book sales are held in the Library Meeting Room. Books of all genres will be available for purchase. Great deals on books, DVDS, audio books, games etc. Proceeds support library programs for all ages.
Donations are welcome!
There is also an ongoing, honor system book sale during all library open hours in the library meeting room.

Bald Eagle - an American Icon

The Bald Eagle is deeply revered by the Indigenous tribes of the Pacific Northwest, appearing frequently in ceremonies and native art.
A U.S. national symbol since 1782, it was officially named the national bird in 2024. Its long lifespan, strength, regal appearance, and exclusivity to North America undoubtedly contributed to these distinctive honors.
In this presentation, Dan Varland will discuss U.S. Bald Eagle populations and their natural history, sharing insights from his 30 years of monitoring eagles and other raptors on the Washington coast.
Living With Wildlife: Bears, Cougars, and more!

Living and recreating in Washington means you may encounter wildlife, from bears and cougars to deer and raccoons. You can follow steps to keep yourself and wildlife safe. Join a wildlife conflict specialist from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife to learn about biology and how you can prevent negative encounters with wildlife.

The Scoop on Soil

The Ocean Shores Friends of the Library is dedicated to providing support and advocacy for the library. FOL is instrumental in supporting children, adult, and teen library programs as well as the new pavilion rugs and computers. Attend the meeting and find out what’s happening now. Join us in discussing Sea Mar's Care Management Pathways program. A program that coordinates services to meet individuals' unique needs. Care Coordination connects clients to resources and services that provide for a whole person continuum of care, including physical health , behavioral health, and social supports, such as access to food or housing.

Ocean Shores Public Library Book Group 2026
Book Group meets on the 3rd Monday of the month from 3:00-4:00 PM* in the Library Meeting Room. Use the Libby app to find eBooksand audio books you can check out for free. Since 2012, the Library Book Group has encouraged literacy and gathering with fellow readers to have respectful discussions.
